EMS Only

The Vienna Volunteer Fire Department needs volunteers to serve as Emergency Medical Technicians. Volunteers can choose between an EMS only program, which requires no fire fighting training, or a suppression program that requires a Fire Fighter I/II certification and EMT-B (minimum).

Once trained, EMS only members can place supplemental apparatus in service to answer emergency calls throughout the Town of Vienna and Fairfax County, as well as assist in public service EMS standbys such as Fairfax Fair and Viva Vienna. Volunteers may begin as EMS only and eventually decided they would like to pursue suppression training as well.
